Athletes with eating disorders
Over the years, I've developed cutting-edge expertise specifically as it pertains to athletes and performing artists who have a troubled relationship with food. Recognized as a pioneer in the nutritional treatment of eating disorders in athletes/performers in Canada, I now focus mainly on this clientele. Equipped with a good understanding of the different issues associated with performance, I ensure that the adopted approach promotes recovery in a way that is safe for the athlete's physical and mental health.
Athletes looking to optimize their performance
For nearly 20 years, I've had the chance to help numerous athletes achieve their Olympic dreams and climb the podium at major competitions. These unparalleled experiences have given me an in-depth understanding of the sports system and the world of performance.
Although the principles of performance nutrition are based on science, it is important to keep in mind that each individual is in control of his or her own body. I therefore advocate a personalized approach in which the athlete is an integral part of the process and interdisciplinary collaboration is essential.
Circus artists & dancers
Having worked with Cirque du Soleil and École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec for many years, I'm very much aware of the issues and nutritional needs of performing artists, acrobats and dancers. My in-depth knowledge of the various circus disciplines and the challenges associated with the creative process and life on tour therefore enables me to accompany any performer/dancer through the different phases of his or her career.
Recreational athletes & corporate athletes
I regularly work with business people to help them achieve their nutritional, sports and health-related goals. Given the busy schedules of this clientele, work constraints and the realities of family life are always a major focus of my approach.
